Aim
The Summer School is aimed at advanced students at Diplom/M.Sc. level and PhD students interested in taking up research in the fields covered in the school. The lectures will start at an introductory level and lead up to problems of current research. Example classes will accompany the lectures. Two special lectures complete the programme.

  • Karl-Henning Rehren (Göttingen): Conformal and Algebraic Quantum Field Theory
  • Raimar Wulkenhaar (Münster): Noncommutative Geometry
Special Lecture
  • Matthias Gaberdiel (ETH, Zürich)
Unfortunately, Matilde Marcolli (Caltech, USA) will not be able to give a lecture afterall.

Hiking tour on Wednesday afternoon to Germany's oldest nature preserve Siebengebirge ("Seven Hills"). Don't forget to bring appropriate shoes.

Fees
  • Regular fee, full board and lodging included: 450 Euro (350 Euro for members of the DPG*)
  • Students' fee, full board and lodging included: 295 Euro (195 Euro for members of the DPG*)
