October 1996 to December 1998:

Part-time tutor at Oxford University

I have given tutorials at Brasenose College, Jesus College, Keble College, and St. John's College. I have taught courses in Linear Algebra, Complex Analysis and Geometry, and Geometry and Mechanics.

October 1996 to March 1998:

Teaching assistant at the Mathematical Institute, Oxford University.

This position involved assisting with classes for courses on Functional Analysis and Projective Geometry.

April 1998 to June 1998:

Junior Lecturer at Jesus College, Oxford

This position involved giving tutorials and classes on Topology and Linear Algebra along with revision tutorials in all areas of the first year pure mathematics syllabus for students approaching their first year examinations.

January 1999 to December 1999:

Lecturer in Mathematics at Pennsylvania State University.

This position involved lecturing to large classes, providing individual help to students during `office hours', helping with the design of exams, and grading exams. The courses I taught were basic calculus courses (Math 140B and Math 141) and are taken by engineers and scientists as well as mathematicians.

May 2000 to June 2000:

Visiting Researcher at the University of Münster

This position involved participation in research programmes at the SFB 478 (Geometric Structures in Mathematics) at Münster University.

August 2000 to July 2001:

Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Odense

At Odense I worked on topology and on operator algebras. I also taught a course on partial differential equations; you can find the notes for the course in PostScript format here
