Emmy-Noether-Gastprofessur
Im Gedenken an die große Mathematikerin
Emmy Noether
hat die Fakultät für Mathematik und Informatik in Göttingen eine nach der
Wissenschaftlerin benannte Gastprofessur ins Leben gerufen.
Jedes Jahr wird eine herausragende Mathematikerin für drei bis vier
Wochen nach Göttingen eingeladen, als Emmy-Noether-Professorin ein
aktuelles Forschungsgebiet in Vorlesungen und Seminaren vorzustellen
und zu diskutieren.
Wintersemester 2012/13
Als elfte Emmy-Noether-Professorin war Prof.
Claire Voisin vom Centre de mathématiques Laurent Schwartz der Ecole polytechnique vom 25.11. bis 07.12.2012 in Göttingen zu Gast.
Sie hat drei Vorträge gehalten:

Vortrag: On the topology of algebraic varieties (Donnerstag, 29.11.2012,
16:45-17:45 Uhr)
This lecture will be devoted to presenting classical topological results in complex algebraic geometry, starting from the low dimensional situation, (curves and surfaces), and concluding with the Lefschetz theorem on hyperplane sections.

- 2. Vorlesung: Hodge structures and algebraic cycles II (Mittwoch, 05.12.2012, 12:15-13:45 Uhr)
In these lectures, I plan to give an introduction to Hodge structures and to describe the interplay between the complexity of Hodge structures and the size of Chow groups of an algebraic variety defined over the complex numbers.

in Israel und Direktorin des dortigen Emmy-Noether-Instituts,
in Göttingen.
In einer Reihe von Vorträgen sprach sie über Zopfgruppen und deren
Anwendungen in der Algebraischen Geomtrie und der aktuellen Forschung:

Anläßlich der ersten Emmy-Noether-Professur fand die Würzburger Ausstellung
