In diesem Seminar wollen wir zun"achst Grundlagen aus der Homotopietheorie einführen und uns mit Spektren (im klassischen Sinn) und (Ko)homologietheorien beschäftigen.
Danach und gleichzeitig wollen wir in die Kategorientheorie umsteigen, und dort mit den Modellkategorien einen Rahmen kennen lernen, in dem Homotopietheorie abstrakt und sehr erfolgreich durchgeführt werden kann. Zum Ende wollen wir uns ein wenig damit auseinander setzen, wie man auf besonders effektive Weise Spektren konstruieren und benutzen kann. Die entsprechenden Vorträge halten wir gemeinsam mit den topologischen Kollegen von der IUB ab, wir treffen uns daher dann immer einen ganzen Nachmittag für je drei Vorträge. In der Zwischenzeit behandeln wir den ersten Teil, sowie weitere Beispiele im Umkreis der Modellkategorien.
