Courant Colloquium Göttingen, Oct 12-14,
2007
The Courant colloquium Göttingen 2007 focuses on young researchers in the
field of the Courant Research center "higher order structures in mathematics".
Its main goal is, to give young researchers the opportunity to present their
research in the areas of
- Non-commutative geometry
- Algebraic geometry and topology
- Symmetries in number theory
and in related or interconnected fields, like geometric group theory,
applications to mathematical physics. The focus will be on novel approaches
which interconnect the areas described above, and which stress the underlying
concepts and higher order structures.
Senior keynote speakers will give their view of the current status of the
fields and the opportunities which novel categorical approaches are opening
up.
